Job summary

Responsibilities include slicing ingredients, assembling sandwiches, checking expiry dates, rotating stock, operating deli equipment safely, and assisting with deliveries and store duties to ensure smooth daily

Qualifications

• Provide friendly customer service to IGA customers.
• Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold food items, including sandwiches and other deli products.
• Prepare sandwich fillings, slice ingredients, assemble sandwiches and serve customers.
• Operate deli equipment and cooking appliances safely, following food safety procedures.
• Replenish shelves, fridges and displays with fresh products.
• Check product freshness and expiry dates, rotate stock.
• Monitor temperatures and storage conditions for perishable items.
• Receive deliveries and organise stock in storage areas.
• Maintain clean deli counters and preparation areas.
• Assist with stock control and waste reduction.
• Follow store procedures and safety requirements.
• Work with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and keep displays attractive.
