Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a Deli Manager-in-training to support day-to-day deli operations and lead a team in a retail supermarket environment. You will ensure product availability, maintain stock levels, and contribute to merchandising and rostering.

The role offers growth into deli management with on-site training and opportunities for promotion. Successful candidate will have food handling experience, strong leadership and customer service skills, and a proactive approach to problem

• Food handling experience in a retail supermarket environment.
• Experience coaching and leading a team.
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to work health and safety standards.
• Experience in stock management and merchandising.
• Understanding of retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day deli department operations.
• Ensure full product availability and high service standards.
• Support Department Manager with coaching the team and scheduling rosters.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels; merchandising responsibilities.
• Collaborate with nearby stores when required.
