Qualifications

• Requires a Certificate III in Electronics or Telecommunications.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of radio frequency and communication equipment.
• Understanding of electrical and data interface standards and protocols.
• Knowledge of operating systems/server systems/network protocols.
• Knowledge of the Defence Technical Regulatory Framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist maintenance services to telemetry and communications equipment.
• Deploy and operate Instrumentation Trailers across the Woomera Test Range.
• Produce maintenance reports and contribute to system health indicators.
• Provide configuration management support to mission systems.
• Support breakdown spares and test equipment.
• Provide technical support for engineering and maintenance services.
• Travel regularly within Australia and internationally; typical deployments 1–3 weeks.
