Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a sovereign defence manufacturer to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer for work on Australian Defence Force programs in Adelaide. You will contribute to surveillance, air battlespace management, and air defence systems through design, V&V, and system testing within a mission-critical environment.

The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification and experience across the full SDLC, with a preference for defence project exposure.

Qualifications

• Extensive V&V experience with mission-critical systems.
• Proficient in hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience with electrical systems, including Voice Communications Systems, Radios, or Telephony (VoIP, analog, or digital).
• Experience working on all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working on defence projects is highly desirable.

Randstad is currently working with a sovereign defence manufacturer of high-tech defence systems that is integrated onto various defence platforms operating in mission-critical environments. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a project to support the Australian Defence Force to enhance their surveillance, air battlespace management, and air defence systems.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Adelaide.

About The Role

• Conduct major engineering assignments in collaboration with other members of the project engineering team.
• Perform requirement analysis and design and implement engineering solutions to meet regulatory requirements and customer's needs.
• Conduct verification and validation (V&V) and prepare verification plans and procedures.
• Conduct and manage system testing activities, as well as identify system requirements and manage configuration.

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or a related discipline).
• Extensive V&V experience with mission-critical systems.
• Proficient in hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience with electrical systems, including Voice Communications Systems, Radios, or Telephony (VoIP, analog, or digital).
• Experience working on all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working with complex defence projects is highly desirable.
