Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Systems Administrator to support a strategically important Defence capability across three interconnected TD L and network engineering projects. You will maintain Windows Server, Linux, and VDI environments, ensuring secure, reliable delivery and interoperability with JC2 and JDN environments.

The role requires NV2 security clearance and experience with Active Directory, VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Horizon, and VDI technologies in complex enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments in enterprise ICT.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and multi-domain environments.
• Experience maintaining enterprise server, desktop, and infrastructure platforms in medium to large organisations.
• Proficiency with Hyper-V and VMware ESX, including VM provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Omnissia Horizon, Citrix VAD, or similar VDI technologies.
• Experience with enterprise storage and backup/recovery (NetApp, Veeam).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and end-user computing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with Defence stakeholders.
• Understanding of Whole of Australian Government ICT security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, and VDI environments across multiple Defence projects.
• Maintain Active Directory, VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Horizon, Citrix VAD, storage and backup solutions.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, vendors, and project teams for interoperability and design activities.
• Contribute to security, disaster recovery exercises, and continuous improvement in a highly secure environment.
