Job summary

The Network Technology Recruitment is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a major Defence ICT program, providing technical leadership across design, development, integration and validation of advanced software solutions for national security capability.

Work alongside architects, systems engineers and integration specialists to deliver secure, scalable software within a collaborative engineering environment, with NV2 clearance and Canberra location.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience in complex enterprise ICT environments.
• Expertise in Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience leading development teams or mentoring engineers.
• Full lifecycle software development understanding (design to deployment).
• Experience with systems integration, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of software across ICT environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers.
• Develop high-quality software aligned with architectural standards and system requirements.
• Support software integration across infrastructure, networking, and enterprise platforms.
• Lead verification, validation, testing, and defect resolution activities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce technical documentation and support transition into operational environments.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver integrated solutions.
