Job summary

Foundation Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for Defence projects in Townsville. You will oversee site delivery from mobilisation to handover, ensuring safety, schedule and quality across Defence sites in Queensland.

The role requires proven site supervision experience, Defence project exposure is highly desirable, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders on live sites. A car and competitive salary package are offered, with long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in site supervision for defence or similar projects.
Ability to manage day-to-day site delivery and coordinate multiple trades.
Strong WHS knowledge and compliance with Defence requirements.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and scopes of work.
Excellent communication with Project Managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day construction and project activities on Defence sites.
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site resources.
Manage site sequencing, productivity, quality and progress.
Ensure works comply with project plans, specifications, WHS and Defence requirements.
Coordinate site inductions, access, permits and documentation.
Identify and manage site issues, risks and constraints.
Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, clients and Defence stakeholders.
Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship.
Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and daily documentation.
Support inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover.
