Foundation Recruitment is seeking a Site Supervisor for Defence Projects to support delivery at RAAF Amberley, Brisbane. The role involves supervising day-to-day construction, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence on live Defence sites.

You will read drawings, manage site resources, and liaise with Project Managers, engineers and Defence stakeholders. A strong WHS focus and Defence experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar.
• Defence industry experience is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering projects in the $500K-$5M range.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and subcontractor management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
• Experience working on live, operational or secure sites.

Site Supervisor — Defence Projects | RAAF Amberley, Brisbane

An established Australian Tier 3 defence contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a growing pipeline of Defence projects at RAAF Base Amberley .

The contractor delivers construction, refurbishment, civil and facilities works across the Defence estate, with projects generally ranging from $500K to $5M. Its portfolio includes Defence accommodation refurbishments, facility upgrades, civil infrastructure, building remediation, maintenance and compliance works across Queensland.

The successful candidate will have Defence experience and take responsibility for day-to-day site delivery, working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, trades and Defence stakeholders.

The Role

You will oversee site activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise day-to-day construction and project activities across Defence sites, including RAAF Base Amberley.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site resources.
• Manage site sequencing, productivity, quality and progress.
• Ensure works comply with project plans, specifications, WHS and Defence requirements.

Defence Project Environment

The contractor has experience delivering construction, refurbishment, civil infrastructure, facilities upgrades, maintenance and compliance works across Queensland's Defence estate.

The successful Site Supervisor will be expected to confidently manage works within live Defence environments, coordinating subcontractors and trades while maintaining strict compliance with Defence access, security, safety and operational requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar.
• Defence industry experience is highly desirable and preferred.
• Experience delivering projects in the $500K-$5M range.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and subcontractor management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
• Experience working on live, operational or secure sites.

Relevant trade, construction or site supervision qualifications will be highly regarded.
