Job summary

Camco Engineering is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager for its Defence Division in Western Australia. You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier development and contract management to deliver cost-effective materials and services for defence projects.

You will build a high-performing supply chain, drive compliance with DISP requirements, manage risk, and engage stakeholders across engineering and manufacturing teams to enable on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven Defence procurement and supply chain experience.
• Strong supplier network and knowledge of the Defence market.
• Understanding of Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) requirements.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Commercially astute with stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain Defence security clearances (NV1 preferred).
• Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional procurement accreditation (CIPS, MCIPS, CPPP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and supply chain activities for Defence projects, ensuring materials, services, and subcontractors are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Develop and implement supplier development plans and performance metrics.
• Negotiate terms, contracts, pricing and supplier agreements to deliver value and minimise risk.
• Support tenders and bids through supplier engagement, pricing, lead time management, and market intelligence.
• Manage supply chain risks, forecasting, and performance to meet project delivery objectives.
• Drive procurement best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement across the Defence Division.
