Job summary

Service Stream is expanding its Defence division, recruiting multiple plumbers for permanent full-time roles across South Australia, including at Edinburgh, Keswick and Woomera. You will be responsible for repairs, maintenance, and installations of plumbing systems in Defence buildings, ensuring compliance and safety.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of plumbing experience, a Certificate III in Plumbing, and licences for backflow, heat pumps, and other systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
• Licence endorsements for backflow prevention, heat pump water systems, on-site sewerage facility maintenance, solar water systems, and thermostatic mixing valves.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair plumbing issues across Defence buildings and infrastructure.
• Install, maintain and repair plumbing fixtures and pipework.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials and time spent.
• Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly and efficiently.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and apprentices and participate in ongoing training.
