Cleared Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 4–6 month contract in West Melbourne. The role focuses on design, manufacture and production of cutting-edge mechanical systems in the Defence domain, with emphasis on SolidWorks-based housing design and electro-mechanical assemblies.

The successful candidate will design mechanical systems from concept to prototype and production, support design reviews, and apply LEAN practices to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have a Mechanical engineering degree qualification with a strong understanding of design.
• Experience with electro-mechanical housing design.
• Experience working within a production environment.
• Experience with Solidworks.
• Experience with 3D CAD models, 2D Drawings and BOMs.
• Applicants must be Australia Citizen eligible and meet ITAR requirements.
• Ability to work on site 5 days a week.

Responsabilités

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with direct experience with background in SolidWorks and tooling design? Have you got experience in design and looking for a new contract position? We currently have a 4-6 month contract position in West Melbourne for a Mechanical Engineer who has a proven track record with SolidWorks and experience working within electro-mechanical projects to join an industry leader. In this role you will work with an industry leader on the design, manufacture and production of cutting edge mechanical systems being developed to direct enhance capability across Defence.

You will be responsible for the design of mechanical systems/housing from initial concept through to prototype and production.

This role is in the Defence domain but doesn't require you to hold a current security clearance.

This role is 5 days on site with half day Fridays.

Responsibilities
