Job summary

Aurec is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Decommissioning Project Manager for Defence, based in Canberra, ACT. The role covers end-to-end ICT build, relocation, and secure decommissioning across multiple Defence sites, ensuring zero-downtime and strict cyber security compliance.

You will lead transitions, cutovers, and disposals while aligning with Defence frameworks and governance. Onsite arrangements apply, with contract to EOFY 2027 and potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Defence ICT delivery experience leading infrastructure builds, relocations and secure decommissions.
• Broad background across EUC fleets, print services, enterprise networks, AV integration, and accredited Defence ICT environments.
• Experience with migration planning, vendor governance, and asset disposal under formal frameworks (PRINCE2/PMBOK/MSP/Agile).
• Active NV1 clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end ICT delivery at receiving sites, including EUC fleets, LAN/WAN, AV and security readiness.
• Plan and execute wave-based transitions, cutovers and migrations for critical assets and services.
• Direct compliant decommissioning and disposal of ICT equipment and data across Defence estates.
• Coordinate with vendors and Defence partners to meet milestones and governance requirements.
• Ensure activities comply with Commonwealth and Defence cyber security and change-control frameworks.
