Babcock Australasia is seeking an experienced HSE professional to support and enhance the Health, Safety and Environment function within a major Defence program in Australia. The role focuses on safety risk management in construction, environmental management and permitting, and guidance across multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.

You will contribute to the Henderson Health, Safety, and Environment Management Plan (HSEMP), ensure compliance with Australian legislation, and support audits,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in safety risk management within construction environments.
• Environmental management expertise, including permitting and compliance.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
• Experience working with subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Auditing, compliance monitoring and reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and assurance of the Henderson HSEMP.
• Provide expert advice on safety risk management in construction and environmental processes.
• Support permitting and compliance activities for construction.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and multiple stakeholders to manage program risk.
