AEY & Associates in Sydney's Western Suburbs is seeking 3 experienced Welders to support specialist manufacturing operations. You will fabricate and weld high-integrity steel assemblies across complex projects for defence and advanced engineering, following WPS and stringent quality standards.

Your role includes interpreting drawings, welding maps, and ensuring traceability across multi-pass welds, with exposure to ISO 9606-1, AS/NZS 1554 standards and NDT as applicable.

Qualifikationen

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Fabrication or equivalent.
• Strong experience in structural steel, heavy fabrication or high-integrity welding.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience working to approved welding procedures and stringent quality standards.

Aufgaben

• Fabricate and weld complex structural assemblies, armour plate and high-strength steel components.
• Perform GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and MMA welding across a range of fabrication applications.
• Complete multi-pass, full-penetration and fillet welds to demanding engineering specifications.
• Work to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), maintaining strict quality and traceability requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps and technical specifications.
• Prepare and inspect welded assemblies, supporting non-destructive testing and quality assurance processes.
