Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a Finance Analyst (or Project Accountant) to join the RMS Finance Team supporting the AIR6500 program. The role covers budgeting/forecasting, cost accounting, reporting, and dashboarding to provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Key duties include period-end reporting, cost allocation reconciliation, budgeting support, invoicing and cash flow monitoring, audits, and profitability analyses.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in accounting and finance, with strong handle on accounting principles, concepts, and standards
• A track record of delivering accurate financial analysis and insightful advice
• Experience liaising directly with customers or external stakeholders, translating technical financial information into clear communication
• Demonstrated ability to produce timely, concise written reports and presentations for internal and external audiences
• Advanced computer proficiency – MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related financial tools
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems
• CA or CPA qualified (or undertaking studies)

Responsibilities

• Generating month to month and period end reports that capture all key financial metrics (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash, OSEC, ROS%, and overhead costs) with forecast alignment
• Reviewing and reconciling program cost allocation actuals against procedures with variance analyses
• Assisting budgeting and forecasting by gathering assumptions and consolidating forecast data
• Administering customer invoicing, debtor management, and cash flow monitoring
• Supporting contract audits, sample-based true-ups and ad-hoc financial reviews
• Tracking program profitability (ROS%) and developing insights for risk mitigation
• Collaborating with finance and program stakeholders to diagnose moderately complex finance issues and design solutions
