Job summary

JY Australia is seeking experienced engineering support professionals to join our growing team and contribute to complex Defence capability programs in Adelaide.

You will work within an integrated project environment, collaborating with engineering, project management, maintenance, supply, technical and commercial stakeholders, delivering reliability analysis, configuration management and data governance.

There are opportunities for experienced specialists and senior or lead-level practitioners.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in Integrated Logistics Support, logistics support analysis, reliability engineering, configuration management or related discipline
• Understanding of complex engineering systems and relationships between design, maintenance, supply, and technical data
• Experience with technical documentation, product structures, engineering data or controlled baselines
• Familiarity with engineering management, configuration management, product lifecycle management or logistics analysis systems
• Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical, well-supported solutions
• Strong written communication and technical reporting skills
• Confidence working with customers and multidisciplinary stakeholders
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance

• Developing and improving engineering support and logistics solutions across the capability lifecycle
• Undertaking reliability, maintainability, availability and supportability analysis
• Developing support plans, analytical models, technical reports and recommendations
• Supporting maintenance, supply, engineering and technical data activities
• Establishing and maintaining product configurations, technical baselines and configuration records
• Supporting engineering change, configuration control and status-accounting processes
• Planning and supporting configuration reviews and audits
• Managing engineering, product and project data within controlled systems
• Monitoring technical activities, risks, progress and performance
• Improving engineering processes, governance, tools and supporting documentation
• Working with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Providing guidance and mentoring to less-experienced personnel

We are interested in candidates with expertise across one or both of the following areas:

• Integrated Logistics Support, engineering logistics, supportability or reliability analysis
• Configuration management, configuration analysis or technical data management

Opportunities may be available for experienced specialists and senior or lead-level practitioners.

What you will bring

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• At least four years of relevant professional experience, with additional experience expected for senior or lead-level opportunities
• Experience in Integrated Logistics Support, logistics support analysis, reliability engineering, configuration management or a related discipline
• An understanding of complex engineering systems and the relationship between design, maintenance, supply, support and technical data
• Experience working with technical documentation, product structures, engineering data or controlled baselines
• Familiarity with engineering management, configuration management, product lifecycle management or logistics analysis systems
• The ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical, well-supported solutions
• Strong written communication and technical reporting skills
• Confidence working with customers and multidisciplinary stakeholders
• The ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance

A degree in engineering, science, technology, mathematics, business or a related discipline is desirable. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

• Defence acquisition or in-service support environments
• Complex electronic, communications, maritime or software-intensive systems
• Reliability, maintainability and availability analysis
• Maintenance requirements analysis and support-system development
• Configuration identification, engineering change control and configuration audits
• Engineering or product data management
• Formal training or certification in configuration management, systems engineering, logistics, reliability or project management
• Supporting estimates, tenders or solution-development activities
• Experience guiding or mentoring technical personnel
