Job summary

Officeworks is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimise distribution centre operations across our national network in Australia. The role focuses on applying engineering and data analytics to drive productivity, capacity, throughput and safety improvements.

You’ll develop performance dashboards, validate designs, and work with operations, transformation teams and external partners to deliver measurable gains in efficiency and service while supporting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years' experience in logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, production or supply chain environments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Time & Attendance systems, CAD applications and Python; familiarity with simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards using SQL and Power BI to inform national leadership.
• Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement.
• Apply industrial engineering principles to labour standards and throughput analyses.
• Support DC modernisation and new facility design projects with engineering parameters and performance targets.
• Collaborate with operations to optimise workflows and system performance.
• Partner with automation/consulting teams to validate design assumptions and project outcomes.
