Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen on the Sunshine Coast is hiring a Cook/Senior Cook for a busy cafe and catering operation. You will work on a fixed daytime roster with 38 hours guaranteed, preparing fresh Mexican dishes and collaborating with a small team to deliver quality meals for guests.

Qualified candidates will have Cert III in Commercial Cookery, 1+ years' kitchen experience, and strong food safety knowledge. Unrestricted Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' kitchen experience required.
• Good food safety and hygiene knowledge essential.
• Cafe, catering, pub or similar background ideal.
• Self-reliant and comfortable working independently.
• Able to contribute ideas and get involved.

Responsibilities

• Full-time role with 38 hours guaranteed.
• Prepare and pack cafe, catering and hotbox meals.
• Work with a small team of 5-6 chefs.
