Job summary

Price & Speed Containers Pty Ltd in Botany is seeking a dayshift forklift operator to join our quarantine-approved depot team. The successful candidate will operate a forklift to load and unload containers and trucks, and handle a variety of goods including machinery, grain and produce.

The role requires a hands-on, safety-conscious individual who can work outdoors, both in a team and independently, and who is willing to overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have LF forklift ticket with minimum 5 years experience.
• Be prepared to work outdoors exposed to the elements.
• Understand Quarantine requirements.
• Able to load/unload containers by hand and using forklift.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Safety aware and able to work in a team or solo.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load and unload containers and trucks.
• Load/unload containers by hand and using forklift.
• Move diverse goods including machinery, grain, cars and produce within the depot.
• Maintain safety standards and follow quarantine procedures.
• Work with others or independently to meet deadlines.

Price & Speed Containers Pty Ltd is located in Botany, has a position available for a Dayshift forklift operator, the successful candidate will be a hands on fit person to work in our Quarantine Approved Depot. We unpack large variety of products including, machinery, grain, cars and produce/flowers with fulltime Quarantine Officers onsite. The successful applicant will have the following attributes,

Be prepared to work outside exposed to the elements

Understanding of Quarantine requirements.

Competent at operating a forklift with all types of loads including produce.

Load/unload containers by hand and using forklift

Eager to learn new skills and take direction

Load/ unload trucks

Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Available for overtime

Safety awareness is a must!

Able to work both in a team and by yourself

Have LF forklift ticket with minimum 5 years experience

Wage $35 to $40 per hour + plenty of overtime
