Qualifications

• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centred care.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Unrestricted full working rights in Australia.
• Private hospital or day surgery experience.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Approximately seven shifts per month, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in the Anaesthetic and/or Recovery areas.
• Assist anaesthetists during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia.
• Provide comprehensive post-anaesthetic care, monitoring and assessing patients during recovery.
• Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Prepare and maintain anaesthetic and recovery equipment and medications.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with infection control, accreditation and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the broader perioperative team to ensure efficient theatre operations.

These are casual positions, with an expected commitment of approximately seven shifts per month. We are flexibility and will work around your availability if possible.
