Job summary

VDG Services is a nationally recognised provider of integrated property services. We are seeking an experienced day shift cleaner based in Melbourne to maintain office buildings and administration areas with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of general cleaning experience, pass pre-employment medical and background checks, and work autonomously while following established health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of General Cleaning experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.
• Able to pass criminal history check and a working with children check.
• Experience cleaning commercial properties (indoor, outdoor and common areas).
• Understanding of OH&S processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean office buildings and administration areas, indoor and outdoor common areas.
• Follow GMP cleaning standards and safety regulations.
• Use professional cleaning equipment (scrubbers, sweepers, carpet cleaners, pressure washers) or be trained to operate them.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based reporting of tasks.
• Comply with auditing procedures as required.

About the role

VDG are seeking an experienced male day shift cleaner role based in Melbourne. The hours are between 08.00am - 16.00pm Monday - Friday and require cleaning experience of no less than 3+ years, have experience working autonomously and in sign off documentation.

• Be able to follow health and safety regulations.
• GMP Cleaning
• Your main responsibilities will include the cleaning of office buildings and administration areas, indoor and outdoor common areas and periodical tasks.
• Skilled in the use of professional cleaning equipment i.e., scrubbers, sweepers, carpet cleaning machines and pressure washing machines, or be willing to be trained in the use of these machines.
• Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Skilled in the use of electronic and paper-based reporting tools.
• Experience in compliance with auditing procedures is highly desirable.

Requirements of the Role
