Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Data Security & DLP Analyst (AI Training) for an hourly contract. This fully remote role focuses on analyzing data security scenarios, classifying data sensitivity, and evaluating prevention, detection, and incident response strategies to support AI model training.

You will generate and validate data security cases, work with cloud environments, and communicate complex concepts clearly in writing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data security, compliance, security operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on familiarity with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy concepts (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly in writing.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic data security and DLP scenarios spanning cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments
• Classify data sensitivity levels, exposure paths, and policy violations with precision
• Evaluate prevention, detection, and incident response strategies for accuracy and completeness
• Generate, label, and validate data security cases used to train and benchmark AI models
• Help AI systems develop a nuanced, expert-level understanding of how sensitive information is exposed and protected

Who You Are

• 2+ years of experience in data security, compliance, security operations, or a related field
• Hands‑on familiarity with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy or regulatory concepts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
• Practical understanding of how data risk manifests in real-world enterprise environments
• Able to communicate complex security concepts clearly in written form
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or SaaS security tooling
• Background in security engineering, threat modeling, or incident response
• Familiarity with AI or data labeling workflows
