Alignerr is seeking a Data Science Expert – AI Content Specialist to stress-test, evaluate, and improve cutting-edge AI models. This is a remote, hourly contract role with flexible scheduling and 10–40 hours per week.

You will design complex challenges, author ground-truth solutions in Python/R, audit AI-generated code, and sharpen model reasoning. A master’s or PhD in data science or related field is required, with strong ML, statistics, and data engineering foundations.

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data tech (Spark/Hadoop) or NLP.
• Able to clearly communicate complex algorithmic concepts and statistical results in writing.
• Highly precise — you catch errors in code syntax, mathematical notation, and statistical reasoning.
• No prior AI experience required — your data science expertise matters.

Responsibilities

• Design Complex Challenges — Craft advanced data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations.
• Audit AI-Generated Code — Evaluate outputs from models using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. Assess correctness, efficiency, and quality across code, visuals, and statistics.
• Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify and document logical flaws in AI outputs such as data leakage, overfitting, or imbalanced datasets, and provide structured feedback to improve model intelligence.

Who You Are
