Alignerr is seeking mechanical engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Work remotely on a flexible schedule 10–40 hours weekly, contributing to AI understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics.

You will design complex problems, author ground-truth solutions, and audit AI reasoning for accuracy and safety to align with ASME/ISO standards, all while collaborating asynchronously from anywhere.

Formación

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field.
• Strong foundational expertise in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
• Highly detail-oriented with comfort checking derivations, unit conversions, and physical constraints.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in async, remote environment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Design Complex Engineering Problems - Develop advanced, domain-specific challenges across areas like FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid mechanics, and material science to test AI performance.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions - Write detailed, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models learn from and are evaluated against.
• Audit AI Technical Reasoning - Review AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and compliance with ASME/ISO standards.
• Identify and Correct Reasoning Failures - Spot logical errors in AI reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model quality.

What You'll Do

• Design Complex Engineering Problems - Develop advanced, domain-specific challenges across areas like FEA (Finite Element Analysis), heat transfer, kinematics, fluid mechanics, and material science to rigorously test AI performance
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions - Write detailed, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models learn from and are evaluated against
• Audit AI Technical Reasoning - Review AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., ASME, ISO)
• Identify and Correct Reasoning Failures - Spot logical errors in AI reasoning - such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or flawed material assumptions - and provide structured feedback to improve model quality

Who You Are

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
• Highly detail-oriented - comfortable checking mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an async, remote environment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
• Proficiency with engineering software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS
• Familiarity with evaluating AI-generated code or simulation workflows
