Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking a Data Quality Engineer for a six-month fixed-term contract, with potential for permanency. You will work across a complex data ecosystem to improve data quality, governance and reliability, while engaging stakeholders to influence delivery outcomes.

You will implement checks, profiling and monitoring using SQL, Python and dbt, and support data lineage and metadata governance across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data quality management and governance.
• Proficient with SQL and Python for profiling and automation.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt and AWS in enterprise data pipelines.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data lineage and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data quality checks, validation rules and monitoring processes.

6-month fixed-term contract | Potential permanent opportunity | Mostly remote An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data Quality Engineer to join a large enterprise organisation on an initial six-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. Working across a complex data ecosystem, you will help improve the quality, reliability and governance of enterprise data. This role combines hands-on data quality engineering with stakeholder engagement, allowing you to influence delivery outcomes and build stronger data practices across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain data quality checks, validation rules and monitoring processes
• Use SQL, Python and dbt for data profiling, analysis and automation
• Monitor ETL/ELT pipelines and identify data quality issues
• Investigate incidents, complete root-cause analysis and support problem resolution
• Establish and track data quality KPIs, controls and reporting
• Support data lineage, metadata management and governance activities
• Provide operational and application support across enterprise data platforms
• Work closely with business, engineering, governance and delivery teams
• Contribute to Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence

What you'll bring

• Strong experience in data quality management and data governance
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt and AWS
• Strong SQL skills and practical Python experience
• Experience supporting ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data pipelines
• Knowledge of data lineage and metadata management
• Experience with data operations, incident management and application support
• Exposure to Databricks would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
