Job summary

AIA Australia is seeking a Senior Technical Data Owner to lead cross-functional coordination between Data Office leadership and project technology teams in Sydney. This permanent role focuses on aligning data-related delivery across the technology portfolio.

The successful candidate will drive clear communication of requirements and decisions, manage data dependencies and risks, and support adherence to Data Office standards and governance across projects.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in Azure Databricks and data platforms.
• Experience in a data, technology, or project coordination role within an enterprise environment.
• Experience working across project and engineering teams in a liaison, coordination, or business analysis capacity.
• Experience with Unity Catalogue, Click, Power BI, and Delta Lake in data delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between Data Office engineering leadership and project streams.
• Coordinate requirements, decisions, and information between projects and Data Office leadership.
• Monitor dependencies, risks, and issues and escalate as needed.
• Guide project teams on Data Office processes, governance, and ways of working.
• Build stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and governance obligations.
