Job summary

XPT Software seeks a Data Engineering Lead to own end-to-end data platform strategy and governance, overseeing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and related tools. You will drive modernization, ensure reliability, and lead teams delivering data-driven business outcomes.

Qualifications

10+ years in Data Engineering or related analytics fields.
5+ years leading enterprise-scale data platforms and teams.
Experience managing production support and delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management across business and tech.

Responsibilities

Own enterprise data platform strategy, architecture, governance, and roadmap.
Lead modernization of Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric environments.
Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective data engineering solutions.
Define data standards, data quality, and metadata management practices.
Support analytics, AI, and BI initiatives; drive self-service analytics adoption.
Govern ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data flows; ensure data availability and performance.
Lead vendor engagements; manage service delivery and operational dashboards.
