Job summary

Accenture Australia is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build, enhance and optimise core components of the AI & Data Platform across AI/ML and Agentic AI. You will manage cloud-native and hybrid environments, implement IaC, and strengthen security, observability and cost efficiency.

The role involves working with Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Azure ML, Snowflake, Databricks and Fabric to enable teams to securely develop, test, deploy and operate enterprise AI agents and models.

Responsibilities

• Drive MLOps, DevOps, CI/CD, and platform automation with IaC (Terraform).
• Implement security controls, identity, private networking and secrets management.
• Build observability across models, agents, tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers and product teams.

About The Role

For this exciting position within our AI and Data team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to build, enhance and optimise core components of the AI & Data Platform across AI/ML and Agentic AI. This includes AI/ML platform services, model and agent deployment infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs and integrations, developer enablement, and platform automation, with a strong focus on scalability, security, reliability, observability, cost efficiency and reuse.

Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration and management of cloud-native and hybrid environments, including Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Azure ML, Snowflake, Databricks and Fabric, ensuring platform reliability, observability, security, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Build and enhance Agentic AI platform capabilities using Microsoft Foundry and related Azure services, enabling teams to securely develop, test, deploy and operate enterprise AI agents.
• Contribute to MLOps, DevOps and AI platform engineering, including model and agent lifecycle management, CI/CD, evaluation, deployment automation, observability, guardrails and production operations.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code, automation and self-service platform patterns using Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Kubernetes/AKS and cloud-native services.
• Implement and advocate for platform-level security controls across AI/ML and Agentic AI, including identity and access, agent/tool authorisation, private networking, secrets management, encryption, security monitoring and vulnerability management.
• Build platform observability across models, agents, tools and workflows, supporting operational monitoring, performance, reliability, cost management and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, AI engineers, platform engineers, Cyber, Architecture and product teams.
