Job summary

Wipro in Sydney, Australia seeks a Data Governance lead to design and implement enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and operating models across data assets.

You will enable metadata management, data quality governance, and collaboration with business and IT to ensure privacy, security, and regulatory compliance while leveraging Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise Data Governance programs and operating models.
• Proficiency with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog and related Informatica tools.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and glossary management.
• Experience enabling data quality governance and stewardship processes.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and SQL.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and translate business requirements into governance deliverables.
• Knowledge of data classification and sensitive data management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance roles including Data Owners, Data Stewards, Custodians, and Governance Councils.
• Develop governance roadmaps aligned with organizational data strategy and compliance requirements
• Lead implementation and configuration of Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog.
• Configure business glossaries, metadata repositories, classifications, and governance workflows.
• Implement automated metadata harvesting and lineage capabilities.
• Enable integration with enterprise data platforms including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, and SQL-based systems

• Define ownership, stewardship, and approval workflows.
