Job summary

Lite n' Easy is seeking a data engineer to design, build and optimise our next-generation data platform. You will craft ETL/ELT pipelines with Microsoft Fabric, structure data in Lakehouse/OneLake, and deliver trusted datasets for Power BI reporting.

You'll work with ELT and technology leads, applying strong SQL, Python/PySpark skills and data modelling to drive fast, accurate decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or the Microsoft data stack.
• Strong SQL skills to transform and optimize complex datasets.
• Experience using Python and/or PySpark for data engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and related tools.
• Structure data within OneLake/Lakehouse environments for reporting layers.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop high-performing data models for Power BI reporting.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure trust in reporting.
• Support data governance and workspace management across the Fabric environment.

Reporting into our technology team, this role will play a key part in building and maintaining our next-generation data platform.

You will design, develop and optimise data pipelines across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, helping teams across Lite n' Easy make faster, more confident decisions using trusted data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, including Fabric Pipelines, Data Factory and related cloud analytics tools.
• Structure data within Microsoft OneLake/Lakehouse environments, transforming raw operational data into clean, usable reporting layers.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to develop high-performing data models and datasets for Power BI reporting.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes and monitoring to ensure reporting is accurate, timely and trusted.
• Support data governance, security and workspace management practices across the Microsoft Fabric environment.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or the Microsoft data stack, such as Lakehouse, Warehouses, Azure Synapse, Data Factory or Fabric Pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to transform, optimise and manage complex datasets.
• Experience using Python and/or PySpark for data engineering, transformation or notebook-based workflows.
• Sound understanding of Power BI, semantic modelling, star schema design and reporting performance considerations.
• A collaborative communication style, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
