Job summary

Tallentire O'Flynn Movsowitz seeks a Data Engineer to join its analytics and insights team in Sydney. You will gain exposure to investment data, APIs and modern cloud practices, building robust data pipelines and ensuring data quality.

Responsibilities include ETL, QA, Docker image creation, and deployment to Virtual Machines, with a focus on improving processes to meet evolving business needs in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a Data Engineering / Analyst role with SQL and data warehousing / MS SQL, Azure and Snowflake.
• Strong programming background in Python and/or R.
• Exposure to Finance or Regulatory Reporting teams is highly regarded.

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) datasets from multiple sources.
• Monitor and maintain datasets ensuring quality and integrity through QA processes.
• Streamline automated data pipelines, build Docker images and distribute to Virtual Machines.
• Oversee system processes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve failures promptly.
• Redesign and implement processes in line with evolving business needs.

Key deliverables in the role:

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) datasets from multiple sources
• Monitor and maintain datasets, ensuring quality and integrity through robust QA processes.
• Streamline automated data pipelines, build Docker images and distribute to Virtual Machines.

Skills & Experience:
