Job summary

Linkforce is building a modern data capability and seeks a Data Engineer to join the Technology and Innovation Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based at our CBD Head Office, this hands-on SQL role will build automated data pipelines across operational systems and establish robust SQL Server and PostgreSQL warehouse foundations.

You will focus on improving data platform performance, quality, monitoring and recoverability, while reducing manual data extracts and reporting rework.

Qualifications

• Expert SQL capability, particularly T-SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with query optimisation, indexing and execution plan analysis
• Proven ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines and warehouse structures
• Troubleshoot skills with the ability to identify and resolve data quality and integration issues end to end
• Effective communication skills, with confidence partnering across business Leaders and technical teams
• Experience in mining, industrial services, construction, maintenance or asset intensive environment is highly desirable
• CDP, APIs, Azure Data Factory, dbt, airflow or Python is an advantage
• Exposure to SSRS, Tableau or Apache SuperSet without being a visualisation specialist will be highly valued
