Job summary

Adelaide University is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Business Intelligence team at the City West campus. This 24-month fixed term, full-time role focuses on designing and maintaining data pipelines and models to support BI across the university.

The position requires experience in data manipulation and SQL/Power Query tools, with strong collaboration across IT and Finance teams to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in data manipulation, preparation, and integration.
• Experience in designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, models, and processes.
• Proficiency in data management and business intelligence concepts and practices.
• Experience with data manipulation tools and/or programming languages such as Power Query, Alteryx, SQL, and R.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, expectations, and relationship management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Enable data-driven decision-making by designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, models, and solutions that support Adelaide University's strategic and operational objectives.
• The role ensures the integrity, accessibility, and quality of data assets to empower business intelligence and analytics across the institution.
