Job summary

Talent Corp in Canberra is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to develop and optimise data pipelines across Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. The role is a 6-month contract with hybrid working arrangements and requires Australian citizenship with Baseline security clearance.

You will work across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to strengthen data solutions, improve integration, maintenance and usage of enterprise data and reporting environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering using Azure Databricks in enterprise environments.
• Experience with modern data integration and analytics technologies.
• Strong SQL development for data transformations and querying.
• Experience with Power BI datasets and reports.
• Knowledge of data validation and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize data pipelines and curated datasets using Azure Databricks.
• Investigate and resolve data quality, integration, refresh and reporting issues.
• Design and maintain data models and Power BI datasets and reporting solutions.
• Improve data validation, metadata management, technical documentation and ops processes.
• Support improvement initiatives while mentoring internal teams.
