Macquarie Group is seeking a data-focused engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data models and data products. You will work with product owners, analysts and platform teams to deliver reliable analytics while enhancing monitoring, automation and data quality in production.

You will own analytical data solutions, optimise cost and ensure platform reliability in a cloud environment, leveraging AWS services and modern data tooling.

What role will you play?

In this role you will design, build and maintain scalable data models and data products, ensuring they are reliable, high performing and well supported. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions while improving monitoring, automation and operational processes. You will have the opportunity to combine analytical engineering skills with hands‑on DataOps expertise to support solutions in production.

What You Offer

• Strong experience operating and supporting cloud-based data platforms in AWS, including monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis and performance optimisation across data pipelines, orchestration frameworks and platform services.
• Proven experience owning analytical data solutions in production, with responsibility for platform reliability, scalability, observability and cost optimisation in cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in SQL, dbt and AWS data services, particularly Redshift, S3 and Glue, with the ability to build, optimise and maintain robust data models and transformation pipelines.
• Experience designing, building and delivering scalable, production-grade analytical data products that support enterprise reporting, analytics and data-driven decision making.
• Strong focus on engineering excellence, including automation, testing, data quality, monitoring and operational best practices to ensure reliable and performant data solutions.
