The Country Care Group is seeking a data engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, and to build Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers.
You will develop and maintain Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, and dimensional models, ensuring reliable incremental loads and data quality.
3–5 years in data engineering with Fabric experience, strong SQL or PySpark, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Own data ingestion from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other source systems into Microsoft Fabric
Build, schedule and maintain Fabric Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and notebooks
Develop and maintain Bronze, Silver and Gold medallion architecture
Build and maintain dimensional data models, including conformed dimensions and fact tables
Develop reliable incremental loads, change capture and deletion handling
Monitor pipeline performance, identify failures and resolve issues promptly
Implement data quality checks, reconciliation and monitoring to ensure data can be trusted
Work with the AI Solutions Engineer to deliver KPI datasets into the Gold layer
Support historical data migrations and backfills, including data associated with acquired businesses
Work closely with the ERP/Business Central team as CCG progresses its Business Central optimisation and consolidation program
3-5 years' experience in data engineering, including building and supporting production data pipelines
Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience - essential
Strong SQL or PySpark / Spark SQL skills
Practical experience with Lakehouse architecture, Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and notebooks
Experience with Bronze, Silver and Gold medallion architecture and dimensional modelling
Experience implementing data quality checks, reconciliation and monitoring
Understanding of Git, Azure DevOps and deployment practices
The ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of outcomes
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical data issues to non-technical stakeholders
