Job summary

ACT Education Directorate in Canberra is seeking a data specialist to guide information management, data quality and reporting, ensuring visualisations meet security and change-management policies.

You will collaborate with diverse staff to determine visualisation needs and develop SharePoint, Power BI and Excel-based solutions, under a temporary contract ending on 25 February 2027 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience working in areas relating to student wellbeing, inclusion and disability.

Job description

Details: This role is a new opportunity to support the Director and other Branch staff by providing guidance and direction on information management, data quality and format for the purposes of ease of access, analytics and reporting. This position includes working with a diverse range of staff at all levels to determines data visualisations needs and developing them in accordance with data security and change management policies.

Highly Desirable:

• Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience working in areas relating to student wellbeing, inclusion and disability.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 25 February 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
