Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Data Commercialisation Manager to join the Sales team at Nine!

Reporting to the Director of Data & Product Commercialisation & Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the commercial strategy to maximise revenue generated from Nine’s valuable first-party data asset.

You will act as the primary commercial and strategic liaison between data, product, and sales, translating our rich audience data into profitable, market-leading products.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop the commercial strategy to maximise revenue from first-party data across Nine’s digital portfolio.
  • Input into the data commercialisation roadmap, identifying new opportunities to meet market demand.
  • Partner with diverse stakeholders (Sales, Powered, Tech) to define requirements and embed operational workflows.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on Nine’s data capabilities, providing strategic guidance to sales teams and clients.
  • Create profitable and compelling data-driven ad solutions that drive revenue generation.
  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating commercial relationships with new data vendors.
Qualifications

This role requires a hands-on leader who can both define strategy and execute on the day-to-day tasks that drive revenue and maintain our market-leading position.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong track record in commercialising data and/or digital sales, specifically within the publishing and video advertising landscape.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling sales stories and present to large audiences.
  • A deep understanding of digital advertising platforms and data solutions (e.g., DMPs, CDPs, ad servers).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for digital advertising and data-driven solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to manage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
