Zone IT Solutions seeks experienced Data Centre Field Services Engineers to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-density data centre infrastructure.

The role focuses on data centre mechanical systems, liquid cooling, rack & stack, power distribution, hardware installation, and field-level troubleshooting; you will work hands-on with high-density server and GPU infrastructure in critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, positioning, anchoring, and physical integration of high-density server and computing equipment.
  • Install and configure high-density racks, server chassis, switch trays, power shelves, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform rack & stack activities, including hardware mounting, cabling, labeling, and equipment integration.
  • Route and manage high-density fiber and copper cabling while maintaining proper bend radius and airflow requirements.
  • Support installation and connection of high-density rack power distribution systems.
  • Ensure rack installations meet required safety, quality, and data centre standards.
  • Install, commission, and maintain liquid cooling infrastructure within data centre environments.
  • Perform fluid charging, flushing, pressure testing, and maintenance of cooling loops.
  • Work with Direct-to-Chip (DTC) cooling systems, Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), manifolds, hoses, and quick-disconnect couplings.
  • Support maintenance of Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx) and other data centre cooling systems.
  • Monitor coolant temperature, pressure, flow rates, and system performance.
  • Perform coolant sampling, conductivity testing, filtration, and water/glycol chemistry checks.
  • Identify and respond to coolant leaks and perform appropriate containment and mitigation procedures.
  • Maintain cooling systems while minimizing disruption to live data centre operations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data centre equipment.
  • Carry out hardware break/fix and Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) replacement.
  • Replace components such as power supplies, fan modules, memory modules, motherboard trays, pumps, and cooling components.
  • Support system installation, commissioning, and hardware bring-up activities.
  • Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting of mechanical, cooling, power, and hardware issues.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they impact operations.
  • Document maintenance activities, incidents, repairs, and technical findings.
  • Diagnose mechanical and infrastructure-related faults within data centre environments.
  • Troubleshoot cooling temperature, pressure, flow, and leakage issues.
  • Support investigation of hardware and infrastructure failures.
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation.
