Job summary

Amida Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design development through IFC for large-scale data centre projects. You will coordinate design across architecture, engineering and services, align milestones with construction, and ensure buildable, compliant outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 5-15+ years in head contractor environments, strong stakeholder management, and a passion for design excellence in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design activities from development through IFC and construction.
• Strong coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams across architecture, MEP and services.
• In-depth knowledge of Australian codes, standards and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all design activities from design development through to IFC and construction.
• Drive alignment between design deliverables and construction milestones.
• Work with Project Manager, site team and consultants to proactively manage design risks and opportunities.
• Manage consultant teams and key project stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Ensure design documentation meets Australian standards and statutory approval requirements.
• Coordinate with Services and Digital Engineering to optimise outcomes.
