Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician in Sydney to install and troubleshoot racks of servers and network gear in one of the world’s largest data centers. You will collaborate with logistics and operations teams to maintain daily uptime and safety.

The role involves physical work, lifting and moving equipment, and rotating night shifts as part of a 4-on/4-off schedule. Key responsibilities include diagnosing hardware issues, replacing failed components, and ensuring power

Qualifications

1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1+ years of computer networking experience.
High school or equivalent diploma.
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating under pressure.

Responsibilities

Install and configure racks of hosts per internal SLAs.
Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage and network devices, including physical replacement of parts.
Remediate or recover from physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events.
Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis).
This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting equipment.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.
