Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Data Centre Technician to maintain Australia's sovereign cloud backbone. You will install racks, configure cabling, and ensure systems run at peak performance while meeting internal SLAs.

You will troubleshoot, lead during high-severity incidents, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations. The role requires hardware experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in tight spaces and comply with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid and active driver's license.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Building and deploying: install and configure racks to internal SLAs, plan capacity, deploy cabling that forms the cloud's nervous system.
• Troubleshooting and resolving: prioritise and resolve issues quickly; serve as escalation point; deep dive into server-level challenges.
• Leading through complexity: act as technical point of contact during incidents; coordinate response and communicate clearly; on-call rotations.
• Physical excellence: work with equipment up to 20 kg; navigate tight spaces; adhere to health and safety guidelines.
