Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Australia seeks a design manager to lead the design delivery of data center infrastructure projects, coordinating with regional teams and stakeholders across the lifecycle.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and interfaces with internal customers and consultants, while guiding design changes and ensuring safety and cost targets are met. This role requires 6+ years in data center design or related fields and a Bachelors in Engineering; licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in project management or as a project lead including RFQ/RFP process, selecting engineering teams and facilitating meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in data center design of critical infrastructure systems.
• Facilitate weekly meetings with internal resources, customers and consultants to address design issues and milestones.
• Drive cost, quality and duration metrics across design, construction and operations.
• Establish budgets and contribute to complex business cases for regional deployments.
• Coordinate with AWS finance to secure project funding.
