Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Operations Manager – APJC, Network and Cabling Decom, to lead decommissioning of network racks and cabling across APJC data centers, ensuring safety and zero customer impact.

You will manage a team of decommissioning engineers and technicians, collaborate with networking engineers and TPMs, drive capacity plans, and travel ~20% to sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience as a general contractor and in vendor management for construction and project execution.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery.
• 2+ years in data center, critical environment, or related operations.
• Experience leading large teams and managing managers.
• Experience in root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to safely decommission network racks, gears, and cables across DCs, TC s, and Edge sites with zero customer impact.
• Plan, design, implement, and operate NCD APJC to meet strategic objectives.
• Interact with networking engineers and managers to support scaling activities.
• Define plans to achieve capacity and network requirements via decommissioning.
• Drive cost savings, tooling, and automation for decommissioning activities.
• Partner with leaders to create a lifecycle approach.
• Support recycling and asset disposition to mitigate supply chain challenges.
• Manage and develop Decommissioning engineers and technicians; participate in recruiting and training.
• Travel 20% or more.
