Job description

GFL is a dynamic, multi-brand business that began as a bicycle importer and wholesaler in 2000. Over the past two decades, we’ve expanded into the fitness, play equipment, and storage categories with popular brands including XDS Bicycles, Lifespan Fitness, and Lifespan Kids.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to join our team and help transform data into meaningful insights that drive smarter business decisions across our brands.

Role Summary

As a Data Analyst at GFL, you’ll work closely with our ecommerce, marketing, product, and operations teams to collect, analyse, and interpret data across all business functions. You will build dashboards, identify trends, and help improve efficiency, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, data-rich environment and enjoys turning numbers into stories that support strategic action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse sales data across multiple channels (ecommerce, retail, dealers) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports for key stakeholders using Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing to measure and optimize campaign performance across paid media, email, and SEO.
  • Provide insights into customer behaviour, buying patterns, and product feedback to guide product and service improvements.
  • Forecast demand using historical data to support procurement, inventory planning, and supply chain operations.
  • Support international growth by analysing market performance across Australia, the United States, and China.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-backed solutions.
  • Work with multiple internal systems (e.g. Shopify, CRM, ERP) to ensure data consistency and integrity.
What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Shopify, Meta Ads).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills — ability to present data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce, or consumer products.
  • Skills in Python or R for data processing or automation.
  • Understanding of inventory forecasting or supply chain analytics.
Why Join GFL?

Be part of a fast-growing Australian-owned company with global reach.

Work across exciting and diverse product categories: bikes, fitness, kids’ play, and more.

Collaborative, innovative team culture that values insights and impact.

Flexibility with hybrid/remote work options.

Employee discounts and wellness initiatives.
