Overview

Canberra Theatre Centre is looking for a Data Analyst who’s ready to turn numbers into stories and insights into action. This is a temporary full-time role where you’ll help shape the future of performing arts in the ACT and have a bit of fun while you’re at it.

We’re not just about spreadsheets and dashboards (though we love those too). We’re about creating unforgettable experiences, and your work will help us do just that by understanding our audiences, refining our programming, and making smarter business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Dive into data from across the business including marketing, finance, ticketing and programming.
  • Build slick dashboards and reports that actually make sense.
  • Spot trends, patterns and opportunities that help us grow.
  • Collaborate with creative, passionate teams who love what they do.
  • Make sure our data is clean, accurate and ready to shine.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience and/or knowledge in working with different software platforms including SQL or R Studio and data visualisation tools like Power BI.
  • A curious mind and a knack for storytelling with data.
  • Great communication and a collaborative spirit.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in government or service delivery but it’s not essential.
Why You’ll Love It Here

We’re building something big with a renewed Canberra Theatre Centre in a buzzing cultural district. You’ll be part of a values-driven team that’s all about innovation, inclusion and impact. Enjoy flexible working and a genuinely supportive vibe.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field are highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in working with different software platforms, or a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new software environments quickly.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of working within a dynamic service delivery context is highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of extension. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
