Job summary

HCLTech in Australia seeks an experienced Data & AI Principal & Solution SME to define and drive enterprise data and AI strategy, architecture and transformation roadmaps across Sydney and Melbourne. You will partner with C-level stakeholders to align AI initiatives with business outcomes and lead the design of scalable data platforms.

You will mentor architects and engineering teams, drive innovation with LLMs and MLOps, and deliver transformation programs that realise measurable business value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, AI, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture.
• 8+ years leading enterprise-scale architecture and transformation programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise Data & AI strategy, architecture, and transformation roadmaps.
• Partner with C-level stakeholders to align AI and data initiatives with business outcomes.
• Architect scalable Data, Analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead the design of modern data platforms, including Lakehouse, Data Fabric, Data Mesh, and AI-enabled architectures.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, security, compliance, and Responsible AI practices.
• Drive AI innovation leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, MLOps, and LLMOps frameworks.
• Lead discovery workshops, architecture assessments, solution design, and implementation roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership across delivery, presales, and client engagements.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting best practices and reusable assets.

• Data Platforms: Analytics and AI-ready Strategy/Solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and other modern data platform ecosystems.
• Data & Analytics: Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Real-Time Analytics, BI, DataOps, MLOps, Python, SQL, Spark.
• Cloud & Architecture: Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP, Enterprise Architecture, API-led Integration, Microservices, DevSecOps.

Leadership & Success Measures
