Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Data and AI Practice - Community & Engagement Lead to build an inclusive, enterprise‑scale practitioner community, strengthen collaboration and professional identity across Delivery Units, and shape Westpac's external reputation in data and AI.

You will design the community operating model, run flagship events, measure engagement, and partner with workforce teams to attract talent, while fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering community operating models at enterprise scale.
• Strong internal communications and channel management expertise.
• Experience building external engagement programmes with industry partners.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to design surveys, collect feedback and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the Data and AI community operating model, including town halls and communities of practice.
• Position Westpac as a leading destination for Data & AI talent through industry engagement and external partnerships.
• Establish flagship practitioner events and recognition programs to strengthen community identity.
• Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, vendors and industry groups.
• Measure community health and external brand impact, using insights to improve practitioner experience.
• Collaborate with workforce and capability teams to support talent attraction and employer branding.
• Create communications and showcases that demonstrate the impact of Data & AI initiatives.
