Job summary

Skytrans Australia is seeking a dedicated Cabin Crew member for the Sydney to Lord Howe Island route. You will uphold hospitality, safety, and efficiency while delivering exceptional passenger service on a dynamic regional airline.

Requirements include 18+, ASIC eligibility, First Aid/CPR/RSA, passport validity, and strong English language skills. Prior Dash 8 experience is valued; willingness to work a 24/7 roster is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: 18+ years and ability to obtain ASIC.
• Hold First Aid HLTAID011, CPR HLTAID009, and RSA or willing to obtain.
• Passport valid for at least 6 months.
• Able to swim 50m fully clothed and tread water for 3 minutes.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends/bank holidays.
• Previous customer service experience and professional presentation.
• Dash 8 or similar aircraft experience is preferred.
• English language standards: AU/NZ education or recent work in listed countries or IELTS 5.5.

Responsibilities

You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations, while being comfortable operating as solo cabin crew and on smaller aircraft.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager Cabin Crew Operations, this full-time position encompasses responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Announce and demonstrate safety and emergency procedures
• Direct and assist passengers in the event of an emergency
• Provide outstanding support to all passengers, including unaccompanied minors, nervous travellers, and those with limited English proficiency.
• Assist in cleaning the cabin between flights
• Administer first aid to passengers or coordinate first aid efforts, as required
• Provide the highest possible service to our passengers by ensuring all needs are met, and exceeded where possible
• Liaise with the pilot-in-command in order to properly coordinate the effects of any operational requirements (e.g. weather, passenger requirements, early descents, diversions etc.)
• Ensure that food, beverages and other supplies are in adequate supply
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement (or willing to obtain)
• Hold a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity
• Able to swim fully clothed for 50 meters and tread water for 3 minutes
• Have excellent health and fitness, normal function of ear, nose and throat, and adequate vision (with or without glasses)
• Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Have prior customer service experience and a high level of personal presentation
• Previous experience on the Dash 8 or similar aircraft is highly regarded
• Must meet one of the following English language requirements:
  • Completed at least 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand
  • Worked in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, or USA for 3 of the last 5 years
  • Completed IELTS with an overall score of 5.5
