Job summary

KONE in Darwin, NT is seeking a Lift Service Technician (Electrician) to service Darwin and surrounding regions. You will diagnose, repair and maintain KONE equipment, ensuring fast, reliable, high‑quality service while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have lift/escalator experience, a current Australian Electrical Licence and NT licence eligibility, and a driver’s licence. The role offers remote travel opportunities and a focus on safety and quality with strong customer service

Qualifications

Experience working with lift and escalator systems is essential.

Knowledge of control and drive systems is advantageous.

Must hold Australian Electrical Licence and be eligible for a Northern Territory licence; trade certificate preferred.

Able to manage critical breakdowns and stakeholder expectations.

Full driver licence required; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Attend breakdowns on escalators and elevators
Maintain and repair equipment
Carry out major repairs including machine replacements, rope/belt replacements, and handrails
Travel to remote sites within the region as needed
Adhere to KONE policies on health, safety and quality
Build and maintain relationships with customers in the region
Be available for after-hours call roster
